The rules
Short, because the mechanism is. Entries sort by what they paid. Everything below follows from that.
Bidding
- Whole US dollars. $5 minimum, $999,999 maximum, $1 at a time.
- Taking the top spot costs at least $5 more than the current top bid.
- Raising your own listing costs at least $1 above its current bid. Enter the same URL or @handle and up your bid.
- Paying less than the #1 price still puts you on the board, at whatever place that bid can take.
- Equal bids stay in the order they were placed — the older bid keeps the higher rank.
Payment
- A completed payment is what claims the rank. Until it completes, nothing is on the board.
- If someone outbids you while you are paying, your bid still lands — just lower down.
- If your bid cannot land at all, your card is released, not charged.
- Being outbid is not refunded. The person above you did not pay you; they paid the board.
Your listing
- Your listing is public. Clicks go to the URL or profile you submitted, without your query parameters — with a utm_source=ranknow tag added, so the traffic shows up as RankNow in your own analytics.
- One counted click per visitor per hour. The count is there to be trusted, so it is hard to inflate.
- Link shortener URLs are not allowed. Submit the destination.
- Chat and invite links are not allowed.
- If it is porn, NSFW, or an adult platform, it does not belong on the board.
- Listings that break these rules are removed. Removed listings cannot be bought back.
